2019 marks the inaugural year of the Stormcells' Women's Think Tank. This year, twelve women were part of this important work. A dozen women with big hearts and creative minds, who provided insights to four separate charities. The solutions provided meant a world of difference in the future work of these nonprofit organizations.

Micha O'Connor
Micha is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she first studied theatre before going into librarianship. Single mom of two spunky girls, she enjoys lifting weights, horror movies, poetry, and travel. She recently traveled to Barcelona and is already planning the next adventure. Patricia Desmarais
Patricia is passionate about helping small businesses and startups with their online marketing strategies. In the past, she worked in the technology field and served in various capacities, including project manager roles at the FDIC/RTC and Cincinnati Bell Long Distance. She enjoys meeting people, working with marketing/content strategies, implementing social media plans, and applying technology to business challenges. Lori Zombek
Lori is the current HR Director for Boone County Fiscal Court, but prior she worked the majority of her career for NKY Area Development District. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology/Sociology, a Masters Degree in Public Administration, a Master Certificate in HR, and the PHR and SHRM-CP HR certifications. She is the current President of the Board of Directors for Children Inc, as well as an avid volunteer for other Boards and non-profit organizations. She is originally from Wheeling , WV and has resided in Cold Spring, KY since 1998 with her husband David of 19 years and their dog, Sam. Jordan Iles
Jordan is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in English, with a focus in Creative Writing. She was an active member of the Honors Program, where she was given the opportunity to participate in several humanitarian research projects benefiting organizations like The National Park Service. Jordan worked alongside the public as the lead coordinator of youth programs at Boone County Public Library for three years before transitioning into IT. Though it doesn't quite pay the bills yet, her passion lies with writing fiction for adult and young adult audiences. She is in the process of obtaining her MFA, which will allow her to give back to the writing community through mentorship in the academic setting. Daniele (Terlau) Axtell
Daniele is a native to Northern Kentucky. She graduated from St. Henry High School. After moving to Dallas for school, she met and married Steve in 1995. Daniele has two grown children, Taylor (22) and Madison (20) and currently lives in Covington. She is the office manager for a CPA firm, and runs a small non-profit focused on helping kids at Holmes High School. Daniele also volunteers on the steering committee with Regional Youth Leadership - a program of the NKY Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, Daniele enjoys spending time with her husband, along with cooking and decorating. Paula Geglein
Paula has been a public librarian for almost 20 years and is currently the Juvenile Selector for the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Literacy and fostering a love of reading is at the heart of what she does. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and serving others through volunteer and mission work. Jane Ashcraft-West
Jane has been recognized by the industry as a top sales leader for buyers and sellers for over 30 years. Jane's Team is the # 1 Team in Northern Kentucky, and serves both Kentucky and Ohio. She is ranked 74 out of 90,000 plus RE\MAX agents in America. Jane lives with her family in Northern Kentucky, and she loves her community. She loves to learn new things and continuing her education in the real estate field. Jodi King
Jodi is the Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of Heritage Bank in Union, KY. Jodi graduated from Northern Kentucky University and has 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Jodi has grown up in Boone County, and continues to live with her family there. She is passionate about serving her community. |
