This introductory workshop covers grant basics; such as, the purpose of grants, how to find the best grants for your organization, the steps to start the process, writing for a purpose, and the importance of story.  After the workshop, you will understand the foundation of the grant process and how to begin applying it to your organization.  

The workshop will also provide a bibliography of grant resources and one-on-one grant writing feedback.  At the end of the session, each participant will have the opportunity to win a $1000 mini-grant from the Stormcells organization.

Our targets:

1. Individuals new to the grant process will acquire a better understanding of grant proposals - how to find them, how to write for them, and how to tell the organization's story.  
2. More seasoned grant writers will have the opportunity to develop their skills and receive personalized feedback.
3. All participants will have the opportunity to receive a mini-grant from Stormcells and potential support from the Women's Think Tank initiative.
